Maureen is sadly missed by her children Scott and Daniel her parents George and Jean and her 5 sisters Lorraine,Yvonne,Sheena Isabella and Ann and her brother George, not forgetting her many nieces,nephews and brother in laws.A part of each one of us went with Maureen when she left this earth, but not our memories of her, that, we all keep and hold forever. Safe in the arms of her gran. We miss you so much Maureen. xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
From all of Maureen's family we would like to thank each and every one of you for lighting candles,giving gifts, verses and tributes and taking the time to visit her site again and again. Maureen would be so touched to know that so many people care for her.

Today, the 4th of January it has been 1 year since my sister left her family and it still seems like yesterday.In the days leading up to today you remember every thing as it happened on each day exactly a year ago, like the days events on xmas day from morning to night.Isabella going and getting her dressed to come to dinner at my house with my parents and brother George and his partner Gemma,Maureen sat on the sofa with a silly hat on opening her gifts, the pillow that i gave her with her sons picture on it
(it went with her in the coffin, she rested her head on it) The earings and necklace that she wore also. Maureen sat at the back doors with Stuart having a cigarette (she always had to have 2) Not really eating anything but just able to be out of hospital for the day meant everything to her, they tried to stop her but our Maureen was having none of it, she was coming out. Taking her back to the hospital in the evening,just me and her talking about things that had gone on, although she did make me cry a lot. Making plans for the next few days outings that were never to happen as things then started to happen to Maureen, sleeping a lot,feeling weaker,but she had every one around her from that day on, only spending some of the time by herself. My sister was a fighter, she lasted longer than any doctor thought she would, they said they couldnt believe she would go on for so long, well we are all made of strong stuff and im sure everyone of us, when our time comes will not go out without a fight.Our parents are both cancer survivors, so we all have it in us.God bless you Maureen,you broke our hearts when you left us, so until we meet again, goodnight wee sister.xxxxxx We love you.xxxxxx

I don't think I knew you Maureen as such but I did know your parents George or Jock as we called him and your mum Jean and was so very sad to learn from the Oxford mail that they to have passed away.
your Dad used to come in our shop in Headington and really make us laugh, he used to stand in our fruit shop and shout at the top of his voice for all to hear "Can you tell me where theirs a good fruit & Veg shop around here" everyone used to look in the shop then we would all laugh.
my husband Mark used to deliver a van load of veg to his house at christmas time, the family is coming he would proudly say, they were really lovely people ones Mark and I were proud to have known, I can think of Jock even now and it makes me smile just as my dear Mark does
you are all up their together now having a ball i should'nt wonder lol
if their is one thing that i know about your parents they were so very very proud of the family they raised together and I for one will miss them

Did you catch a baloon maureen? I know you were there at Kylies yesterday,I could feel you around us.Its hard to believe its Your second birthday away from us hen,it dosen't get any easier we all just learn to deal with it.
